The organisers of the annual Business Awards of Macau have confirmed that Melco Resorts & Entertainment’s Studio City will host The 9th Business Awards of Macau Gala Ceremony on 12 May 2026 in the Grand Ballroom.
The Business Awards of Macau is recognised as the largest cross-industry, cross-community and multilingual awards programme in Macau.
The Awards chairman, Paulo A. Azevedo, said the event will continue to celebrate institutions, companies and individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the development of Macao. “This project is much more than merely recognising achievements. It is about seeing in them the essence of the best that Macau society has to offer to the future of the city and the region,” he said.
The 2025 ceremony reached an audience of more than 110,000 via online news and live-stream platforms, confirming the Awards’ role as a benchmark event for the local business community. Entries for the 2026 awards are now open and the final submission deadline is 31 March 2026.

A highlight of the 2026 edition is the introduction of two new categories that reflect evolving priorities in the business community:
- Sustainability Award: Recognises those who excel in helping Macau become more sustainable, acting more ‘green’ in transport, construction, energy, tourism, waste management, education, and policies.
- My City – My Brand Award: Celebrates the contribution of those who, for generations, have kept an idea, a business, or a dream alive, often in the face of economic challenges and social upheavals.
The 11 Award Categories for 2026 are:
- Leading by Example
- Entrepreneur
- Young Entrepreneur
- Greater Bay Area
- My City – My Brand
- Entertainment Leading
- Innovation
- Sustainability
- Small and Medium Enterprise
- Non-Profit Organisation
- Grand Merit Award
All shortlisted entrants will be invited to the Gala. Finalists with the highest scores in each category will be named Gold Winners; other shortlisted entrants will be recognised as Excellence Winners. The Grand Merit Award is the highest honour, recognising the most outstanding overall contribution to the community.
The Gala Dinner on 12 May 2026 will host around 250 distinguished local and international executives. Attendees can expect international fine dining and networking opportunities alongside the live announcement of Gold and Excellence Winners.
