The Chief Executive’s visit to Portugal and Spain was postponed several times throughout 2025. At an initial stage, the trip was expected to take place before the summer, but was postponed due to Portugal’s legislative elections and the Chief Executive’s domestic commitments. The visit was later rescheduled for September, only to be delayed once again. Towards the end of the year, Sam Hou Fai reiterated his intention to make the trip in the first half of 2026, at the time pointing to April or May.
