As part of Light Up Macao 2025, the Northern District plays a central role in bringing the event closer to local communities under the theme “Light Paradise”. These light installations spread across several emblematic leisure areas, including the Waterfront Duet Leisure Area, Leisure Area in Rua do General Ivens Ferraz, and Fai Chi Kei Northern Bay Recreational Area, designed to blend with the urban fabric and enrich vibrant community spaces.

Entry is free, with installations open daily from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. In addition to the light artworks, the Northern Winter Market at Praça dos Lótus stands out as another major highlight of the Northern District, combining themed lighting with a winter market designed for all ages. The venue brings together stalls offering handicrafts, food, and hot beverages, creating a festive nighttime ambience.

MGTO provides two free shuttle routes departing from Macau Square, near the main entrance, at 30-minute intervals from 5:00 p.m. till 10:00 p.m. .
Canopy, presented by the studio Pneuhaus, is an artistic light installation in which participants generate energy by pedalling, causing luminous sculptures to bloom.
Under the concept “lighting a lamp”, the experience also invites participants to revisit local memories and appreciate elements of Macao’s World Heritage architecture, as well as traditional Chinese and Portuguese culture.
2025 Luminescent Night at Travessa do Armazém Velho
Travessa do Armazém Velho is transformed into a luminous corridor, where art highlights the architecture and historical identity of the area. Creative lighting invites the public to rediscover this traditional part of the city through a nighttime route marked by colour, form, and light effects, creating a welcoming and photogenic atmosphere.
Online Games
Take the opportunity to participate in a series of interactive games and digital experiences designed to enrich your Light Up Macao 2025 journey. Through mini-games and augmented reality features, participants can engage with the event beyond the physical installations. By collecting stamps at information counters and stars at the main light installations, participants can redeem exclusive festival gifts and souvenirs.
