Sands China adds Friday summer shuttles and holiday services under “Leisure Bus” 2.0, while partnering with merchants near Hong Kung Temple to offer exclusive discounts and drive community tourism.
Sands China is strengthening its support for the Macao SAR government’s community tourism initiative by expanding the “Leisure Bus: Exploring the Community” 2.0 programme.
From July 17 to August 30, the company has added Friday shuttle services to complement existing Saturday and Sunday routes, with further additions planned for National Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
The initiative is about more than transportation. By lowering the barriers for tourists to explore Macao’s streets and neighbourhoods, they are able to experience the city’s diverse cultural and tourism attractions, while boosting the vitality of SMEs and injecting sustained momentum into the community economy.
Furthermore, Sands China is partnering with merchants on Rua das Estalagens near the Hong Kung Temple shuttle stop. Passengers on the “Leisure” Bus will be eligible for exclusive dining and shopping discounts, with the aim of attracting more tourists to shop and dine in the community. For local SMEs, this curated footfall represents a concrete opportunity to capture tourist expenditure that might otherwise remain within the larger integrated resorts.

Looking ahead, Sands China views the enhanced summer holiday and public holiday services under the “Leisure Bus: Exploring the Community” 2.0 programme as a strategic pillar for continuing to leverage its resource strengths as an integrated tourism and leisure enterprise, under the leadership of the SAR government.
By strengthening synergies with community businesses and working with all sectors of society, the company is committed to elevating Macao into a diversified community tourism destination and contributing to the city’s sustainable economic diversification.
