Ferry operator TurboJET said ferry service between Macau and Hong Kong can set sail immediately after receiving “indications” from the governments of the two SARs.
But the company will only relaunch the Taipa-Sheung Wan route first, with eight round trips per day.
TurboJET’s Director of the Macau Services Division, Alfred Ng, said they are preparing for the service between Macau Outer Harbour to Hong Kong’s Sheung Wan, as well as the Taipa-Sheung Wan.
The operator will first start the sailing from Taipa to Sheung Wan with around 16 sailings each day. Night sailings will be arranged later.
TurboJET now have some 20 vessels available to operate, but only four vessels have a valid licence, the company revealed.
