Sands China organised 50 management team members to visit the 2026 National Security Education Exhibition on Thursday in Macao, at the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform Complex.

The visit was led by Dave Sun, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Sands China Ltd. and Managing Director of Venetian Macau Limited, with the aim of strengthening team members’ understanding of national security and supporting national development.

This is the eighth time Sands China has arranged a visit to the annual exhibition since it first began in 2018, as part of the company’s professionalism education series.

This year’s exhibition is themed “Proactively Aligning with the 15th Five-Year Plan, following a Holistic Approach to Development and Security” and reviews the achievements of the central and Macao SAR governments in security and development, while looking ahead to the latest national development strategies.

It is co-organised by the Macao government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR.

Dr. Wilfred Wong, Executive Vice Chairman of Sands China Ltd., stated: “Maintaining national security is fundamental to Macao’s long-term prosperity and stability. Sands China has always considered promoting national security education as an important part of team members’ professionalism education. As the nation embarks on its 15th Five-Year Plan and the Macao SAR begins its Third Five-Year Plan, we hope that by visiting this important annual exhibition, we can deepen and strengthen our team members’ understanding of the national security system, enhance their awareness of national development interests, and elevate their patriotism, love for Macao, and sense of social responsibility. This will enable them to more smoothly integrate into the overall development of the nation, working together for a Macao that is happy and built on the rule of law.”

Led by a docent, the delegation visited the introductory section and five thematic areas of the exhibition. They highlight recent developments in different sectors and the progress made in national security publicity and education under the holistic national security concept.

The exhibition also presents the Macao SAR government’s collaboration with different sectors of society in promoting national security education and safeguarding national security.

To further promote Chinese history and culture, Sands China also organised a visit on April 11 to the Base of the Education of Love for the Motherland and for Macau for Young People at the Handover Gifts Museum of Macao for Sands Cares Ambassadors and their children.

The visit aimed to strengthen family-based understanding of the country, Macao, the Constitution and the Basic Law, while deepening awareness of Chinese cultural heritage.

The visit forms part of Sands China’s ongoing professionalism education efforts. The company said it has held more than 100 professionalism activities to date, with over 17,000 participants, including training courses, Greater Bay Area visits, lectures, speaker forums, exchange activities and film screenings.
