Press conference for 14th MITE
The 14th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo (MITE) will be held from 10 to 12 April at Halls A, B and C of the Cotai Expo at the Venetian Macao, under the theme “Global Convergence, Future Horizons”.
Supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and relevant central government offices, the event is organised by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and coordinated by the Macau Travel Agency Association.
At a press conference on 27 March, MGTO and the Macau Travel Agency Association introduced this year’s programme and logistics.
MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes said the Expo continues to serve as a platform and bridge for tourism cooperation, strengthening Macao’s role in regional and international exchange.
According to the organisers, this year’s Expo will feature five new major highlights focused on “tourism +” integration.
These include APEC-related multi-destination tourism, a broader global outreach strategy with Portugal, Spain and halal tourism, technology and low-altitude economy showcases, a healthcare-and-tourism theme linking Macao and Hengqin, and the “Magnetic Creative Hub” aimed at Generation Z travellers.
The event will also spotlight the tourism technology sector, urban air mobility applications and smart services, including live chat on the official MITE website.
In addition, the healthcare and wellness segment will be expanded through the participation of the Islands Healthcare Complex – Macao Medical Center of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, alongside exhibitors from Macao and Hengqin.
MITE 2026 will occupy 30,000 square metres and feature nearly 1,500 booths. More than 700 exhibitors from 58 countries and regions, together with over 600 hosted buyers, have already registered.
The programme will include more than 130 themed sessions, such as destination presentations, forums, workshops and performances.
The 14th MITE will be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on 10 April, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on 11 April, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on 12 April, with travel products, accommodation packages, and air tickets on sale.
Visitors who spend MOP 300 or more on site during the three-day event can join the “MAK MAK grand lucky draw”. Free admission, shuttle buses and parking will be available for visitors.
