English champions Arsenal have added Greek international forward Christos Tzolis to their squad, signing him from Club Brugge for 40 million euros, a fee that sets a new record for a transfer out of the Belgian league.
Arsenal have not confirmed the length of Tzolis’s contract, though reports suggest he has signed a five-year deal running through 2031.
The 24-year-old spent two seasons at Club Brugge, the most recent of which saw him make 52 appearances while contributing 22 goals and 29 assists. His transfer fee now surpasses the previous Belgian league record, which had been held by Charles De Ketelaere.

De Ketelaere left Bruges for AC Milan in 2022 for 37.5 million euros, though his time with the Rossoneri lasted barely a season before he moved on to Atalanta, first on loan and later permanently.
Arsenal’s new signing came up through PAOK’s youth setup before moving to England, where he played for Norwich City, along with stints at Dutch side Twente and Germany’s Fortuna Düsseldorf.
