The “GEG Macau Cup”, organized by the National Conditions Education (Macau) Association, has been title-sponsored by Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) since 2009 for 17 consecutive year.

Mr. Philip Cheng, Director of GEG, stated that GEG, as the first integrated tourism and leisure enterprise to promote youth national education in Macau, has consistently supported the “GEG Macau Cup” to deepen local students’ understanding of the nation. Each year, GEG sponsors winning students on visits to cities in Mainland to give them more opportunities to experience the country’s vibrant development from multiple perspectives.

This year marked the 17th National Education Competition, which centered on the theme “New Industrialization, High-Quality Development”.

The event featured a mandatory answer round, buzzer round, and open Q&A session. Out of 34 school teams, Pooi To Middle School, Keang Peng Secondary School, and Macao Polytechnic University emerged as this year’s champions.

This summer, the winning teams will embark on a four-day trip to Jiangsu Province.

During the visit, students will interact with local government departments and cutting-edge technology enterprises, gaining firsthand insights into China’s progress and broadening their perspectives on national development.

Since 2023, the event has been selected as an affiliated project of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Charity Annual Conference, organized by the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation for three consecutive years, amplifying its significance in the region.
