Portuguese manager Rúben Amorim had a victorious debut in charge of AC Milan today, winning 2-1 away to Torino in the opening matchday of the 2026/27 Italian football championship.
Young forward Alphadjo Cissè, in the 64th minute, and experienced French international midfielder Adrien Rabiot, in the 66th, scored the goals for the Milan side, while the hosts pulled one back in the 90+3 minute through Scotland’s Che Adams.

Portuguese international striker Gonçalo Ramos played the full 90 minutes in the attack for the Rossoneri. AC Milan, who last won the Italian title in 2021/22, opened the competition with a win, as did Atalanta, who beat Sassuolo 2-1 at home.
