During the four-day event, four prominent NGOs, namely BYS Bosco Green Store, Caritas Macau, Noah Family Mutual Aid Association, and Oxfam in Macao, participated in the fundraising roadshows which were held at The Venetian® Macao, The Parisian Macao, The Londoner® Macao, and Sands® Macao.
These NGOs offered a variety of products available for sale, ranging from environmentally friendly cleaning products to Oxfam Rice, cultural and creative products, and shopping bags crafted by disadvantaged groups.
Through their displays, the participating organizations highlighted their contributions to the community, including environmental protection through charity sales, supporting smallholder farmers, promoting Macao’s local culture, and showcasing the talents of individuals with disabilities.
Dr. Wilfred Wong, Executive Vice Chairman of Sands China Ltd., expressed his pride in organizing this meaningful charity roadshow for team members, and said, “Through charity sales, we not only supported local NGOs but also fostered a sense of social responsibility within our team. I would like to express my gratitude to our Sands Cares Ambassadors, who tirelessly assisted NGOs at the booths, exemplifying our commitment to making a positive impact in the communities we operate in.”

(right). The roadshows, which ran March 25-28 at Sands China’s properties, were aimed to
help team members gain an in-depth understanding of the services and products of local
NGOs while supporting them through charity sales.
The roadshow provided a platform for 26,000 Sands China team members to directly engage with the four NGOs and learn about their products and services. Representatives from the participating charities commended the roadshow as an effective means of introducing their services and expanding the promotion of their charity products.
The event is part of the on-going celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Sands Cares Ambassador programme. Launched by Sands China in August 2009, it was the first of its kind in Macao, establishing a volunteer team that now boasts over 3,300 volunteers from across all of Sands China properties.
Through the programme, team members have the opportunity to engage in various community and volunteer services, thereby conveying love and care to local disadvantaged groups, contributing to local social development, and helping to establish a harmonious and inclusive community.
The Sands Cares Ambassador programme and other community initiatives are part of Sands Cares, the global corporate citizenship programme of parent company Las Vegas Sands Corp.
