On Sunday, the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) adjusted its Travel Alert for Israel to Level 3 throughout the country under the Macau Special Administrative Region system due to deteriorating security conditions. It also warned residents not to travel to Israel or Iran and recommended that those already there should strengthen security measures and leave the region as soon as possible.

The measure follows the announcement by the Chinese Embassy in Israel that it will transfer the evacuation registration for Chinese citizens in the country, including residents of Macau, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
The MGTO also indicated that Macau residents in the Middle East should closely follow the warnings issued by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and maintain contact with diplomatic authorities, with alert messages being sent via SMS through local operators.
The authorities also stressed that air transport systems between the Middle East and Europe are being affected, advising travelers to check with airlines for flight changes.
Two requests for information related to flight suspensions in the region have been received so far, and there are currently no Macao tourist groups traveling to the Middle East or Europe via that area, according to the Tourism Hotline.
