According to the latest data from the Public Security Police Force, the port accounted for 16.3 percent of the SAR’s total border traffic in 2024. Between January and July this year, 20.786 million people passed through Qingmao Port, averaging around 98,000 crossings per day—a slight increase of 1.8 percent year-on-year.

A breakdown of passenger profiles shows that Macau residents made up the largest group at 53.5 percent, followed by non-resident workers at 36.2 percent and mainland tourists at 6.2 percent.

Authorities said they will continue working with relevant departments in Zhuhai and Macau to explore and implement more convenient clearance measures aimed at enhancing the cross-border travel experience.
