Sands China has rolled out a series of free public extended activities for the Community Revitalization Programme 2.0 for Rua das Estalagens, reinforcing its support for the Macao SAR government’s direction of advancing the community economy.
The initiative has also received wide support from different sectors of Macao society.
Built on Sands China’s business philosophy of supporting SME development, the programme will offer three preparatory activities during the application period: a briefing session on May 8, SME training courses on May 14, and Rua das Estalagens Open Days on May 15-17 and June 12-14.
The activities are designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs prepare their business proposals, understand operating requirements and explore shop units available in the district.
The programme follows the principle of “integrating the old with the new, bridging the past into the future” and includes two main initiatives this year: the Entrepreneurship Recruitment Programme 2.0 for Rua das Estalagens and the inaugural Shop Rebranding Programme.

With the “Community Revitalization Programme 2.0 for Rua das Estalagens” now open for applications, a series of public extended activities will be rolled out, including a Briefing Session, SME Training Courses, and Rua das Estalagens Open Days.
The first supports new local entrepreneurs establishing businesses in the area, while the second helps existing businesses improve their brand image and operational capability.
The briefing session will introduce the programme’s features and application details.
Representatives from the Economic and Technological Development Bureau, the Municipal Affairs Bureau, CEM and The Macao Water Supply Company Limited will also provide practical guidance on matters such as licensing and utility arrangements.
The SME Training Courses will feature Matthew Liu Ting Chi, Director of the Centre for Continuing Education at the University of Macau and professor of UM’s Faculty of Business Administration.
One session will address Macao SMEs, business transformation and startup innovation, while the other will focus on business planning and marketing strategy.
The Open Days will allow interested participants to visit Rua das Estalagens and inspect available shop units, helping them make more informed business decisions. The activities are open to the public, with registration required for the briefing session and training courses.
