According to the Financial Services Bureau, the company is required to uphold its commitment to prioritizing local employment, gradually reducing its current reliance on non-resident workers. This transition is expected to be supported through on-the-job training programs aligned with the government’s labor policies.
Macau Slot has previously stated that ensuring local employment is a core corporate responsibility. As part of its workforce localization efforts, the company has introduced a reduction plan targeting its non-resident employees, who currently represent around 15 percent of its staff.
The company has pledged to reduce the number of non-professional non-resident workers by 35 percent—equivalent to approximately 26 positions—by the end of the first quarter of 2026, with further adjustments to follow in an orderly manner.
In its latest financial disclosure, Macau Slot reported a profit of MOP130.88 million for the 2024 fiscal year. Since launching football betting in 1998 and basketball betting in 2000, the company has focused on promoting a more entertainment-oriented approach to sports betting, earning broad customer support.
Despite facing a challenging business environment over the past year, the company has continued to enhance its service quality and diversify its sports betting offerings under the guidance of government policies. It also retained its “ISO10002:2018 Customer Complaint Management System” certification from the British Standards Institution.
In terms of future plans, Macau Slot is looking to further develop its IT infrastructure and expand its range of sports betting products, with the long-term goal of becoming the world’s leading sports betting operator.
