This week, Plataforma continues the journey in Nam Van District, presenting the remaining 4 ocean-inspired installations in the area, where under the theme “Interlude of the Ocean”, artists create a symbiosis between marine life and light, raising public awareness of its beauty and the need for preservation.

Mecha Ocean Guardian︱Artists: Dio & Elephant, Sustainability Art Hub (SAH) (Hong Kong, China)
Mecha-Octopus stands watch over the promenade, its luminous head pulsing with ever-changing lights. This guardian invites contemplation of time’s passing through its display.

Artist Introduction: Dio & Elephant are pioneers in sustainable art. Dio, a Guinness World Record holder, excels in sculpting with recycled materials, while Elephant merges traditional Chinese art with contemporary art and technology. Together, they have launched numerous innovative projects and international art initiatives since 2018.

A giant pink crab rises in the Nautical Centre, its inflatable dome structure bringing playful marine charm to the urban landscape.

Dreamy Milky Way︱Artist: H2o, Sustainability Art Hub (SAH) (Hong Kong, China)
Explore the illuminated constellations of dolphins and whales. Touch them to activate their vocalizations and breathing sounds, creating an immersive sensory experience.

Octopoda︱Artists: Amigo & Amigo (Sydney, Australia)
This interactive installation features a steel octopus responding to visitor-played drums. Eight percussion stations trigger synchronized light and sound displays, merging art with environmental awareness through audience participation.
