Accompanied by Sands Cares Ambassadors, the group of 40 enjoyed an hour-long tour featuring videos on key landmarks like the Macao Science Centre, Portas do Entendimento, Shaptsz Moon, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, and the soon-to-open Ponte Macau.
The group explored the ship, learning about crew responsibilities and emergency procedures. They also visited the bridge, where the captain explained his duties and demonstrated the control tools, radar, and electronic map.
Sands China Ltd. Executive Vice Chairman, Dr. Wilfred Wong, said: “Cotai Water Jet’s Macau Cruise Tour is a great opportunity to enjoy scenes of Macao from a new point of view, and Sands China was very pleased to invite members of the community to be among the first to enjoy it.”
“With this special sailing, it is our privilege to provide quality parent-child time for these family groups and to help inspire children’s sense of exploration” he continued.
One of the participating family members said: “I was very happy to have the chance to join this tour. It was the first time for me and my children to take Cotai Water Jet, and we were so surprised to see and learn how there are so many different systems on the ship. The captain and crew were very friendly and patient in explaining the different systems to us. A big thanks to Sands China for arranging this tour; it will definitely be a memorable part of our summer.”
