‘The Orphan of Zhao’ is a Chinese musical that brings life to a timeless tragic tale of revenge set in ancient China. With its blend of traditional values and modern expression, the production showcases the best of Eastern and Western theatre traditions. The latest cast, including famous Chinese musical actors and singers Zheng Qiyuan and Xu Junshuo, along with popular film stars Ming Dao and Xue Jianing, will transport the audience into a world of intricate relationships, human dilemmas, and dramatic storytelling.
Following its tremendous success across China since 2021, the impressive musical has captivated audiences in over 20 cities with a total of almost 100 performances and has achieved the top spot in box office ticket sales for Chinese musical performances in 2022.
