More than a race

The Macau Grand Prix is not only held inside the Guia Circuit. The Grand Prix Organizing Committee, in collaboration with other local and foreign companies, brings motorsport to the streets of Macau in various forms. Some events have already passed but should be remembered. Others are just around the corner, and you can still experience them.

Fun run

More than 4,000 people gathered on November 5 to take part in the Guia Circuit Fun Run. The race is a routine that precedes the Macau Grand Prix and aims to get locals and tourists acquainted with the racetrack by running its entire 6.2 kilometers.

The first 10 male and female athletes to cross the finish line left the event with prizes. The fastest male was Wang Kun, who completed the Guia Circuit in 19 minutes and 42 seconds. In the women’s race, Chio Tong Tong crossed the finish line in 24 minutes and 20 seconds.

Family Festival

Tap Seac square was filled from November 4 to 5 with themed games, a Guia Circuit enclosure and a mini racetrack for the whole family to enjoy. The children had the opportunity to wear the uniforms of the drivers and track staff and experience the lives of the professionals involved in the Macau Grand Prix. At the end, they left with souvenirs.

Several local and foreign organizations were also involved in the festival, with stalls selling products related to the sporting event.

Car and Motorcycle Exhibition

If you couldn’t take part in the above-mentioned activities, you can still go to Tap Seac square between today and Sunday (November 12) to get a closer look at the cars and motorcycles that will be taking part in the race, as well as some of the drivers. The opening ceremony will take place at 1pm this Friday. Once again, there will be sales stands on site with cultural and creative products on the theme of the Grand Prix.

Photo competition

To promote racing culture, the 70th Photo Contest will once again be held to help encourage Macao residents to participate in Grand Prix activities in different ways. All you have to do is sign up and send in your best photos. Last year the 1st place in the contest went to Lei Keng Hong, with this very photo.
