Levo Chan, boss of Tak Chun, was sentenced to 14 years in prison by the Base Judicial Court.
The former gambling promoter, who was arrested after Alvin Chau, from Suncity – already sentenced to 18 years in jail for similar crimes -, was accused of leading a secret society, carrying out illegal gambling activities in authorized places, money laundering, illicit exploitation of gambling and fraud. Chan, who had been in pre-trial detention for a year, was found guilty of all crimes.
