Pope denounces attempts to appropriate anti-Covid vaccine

Pope Francis denounced on Wednesday (9), in his weekly general audience at the Vatican, the existence of “interests” that could jeopardize a future vaccine against the new coronavirus.
According to the Catholic leader, the Sars-CoV-2 pandemic “affects everyone”, and humanity will only be able to get out of this “better” crisis if it seeks the “common good”.
“Unfortunately, we are witnessing the emergence of private interests. For example, there are those who would like to appropriate possible solutions, such as vaccines, and then sell them to others. Some take advantage of the situation to foster divisions, to seek economic or political advantages, generating or increasing conflicts ”, said the Pope.
