Donald Trump was nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to negotiate peace between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.
The name of the US president was presented by Norwegian MP Christian Tybring-Gjedde, according to Fox News.
“On his merit, I think he made more attempts to create peace between nations than most others nominated for the Peace Prize,” Tybring-Gjedde, a four-term member of parliament, told the US channel.
On Tuesday, a White House official announced that Trump will hold a signing ceremony on September 15 for an innovative agreement in the Middle East that normalizes relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.
