130 days without Covid-19 may allow entry into Macau

Macau will only allow foreigners to enter when they come from territories without cases of covid-19 for more than 130 consecutive days, admitted the head of the government, Ho Iat Seng.

The Government “still has no plans to open to foreigners because (…) it cannot be said that they are low-risk areas,” he said at a press conference before leaving for an official visit to Beijing that runs until Monday and during which meetings are scheduled to discuss cooperation with neighboring Guangdong province and work to prevent and combat the pandemic.

“If they stay in the same situation as us, for more than 130 days without infected [domestic], we can clearly consider”, explained the government official.
