Brazil was the country with the most footballers around the world in 2019, in a list in which Portugal appears in 13th place, according to an analysis by the Football Observatory, of the International Center for Sports Studies (CIES).

With a total of 1,535 footballers playing outside their league, Brazil is the country with the most players abroad. In this table, France is second, with 948 athletes, and Argentina third, with 913.
