At the extraordinary general meeting, a Management Committee was mandated until December to prepare the company for the appointment of a long-term Executive Committee.
The general assembly of Conta Lá elected a Management Committee, composed of Rui Rego, Diogo Alexandre, and Paulo Rego, which takes office on Monday with a mandate until December, the owner of Platform Media told Lusa this Wednesday.
The general meeting had been suspended at the second point, which pertained to the analysis and decision on the company’s restructuring plan, until this Wednesday. At this Wednesday’s general assembly, all shareholders were present, the current general meeting was closed, and another was convened about 10 minutes later.
In this second general assembly, the decision on point one of the previous meeting was annulled, and the total conversion of invested capital into share capital was approved. According to the owner of Platform Media, Paulo Rego, all invested capital is transformed into share capital.

At the extraordinary general meeting, a Management Committee was mandated until December to prepare the company to appoint a long-term Executive Committee corresponding to the new shareholder structure in a capital increase planned up to five million, with the first tranche to be defined by Monday by a group of four shareholders—three current ones participating in the capital increase in a block that includes Platform Media.
The Management Committee is composed of Rui Rego—a lawyer with a postgraduate degree in management—Diogo Alexandre—current programming director—and Paulo Rego, owner of Platform Media.
There are four priorities for the project: “Cost cutting, payment of salaries, payment of critical debts, namely to the State and critical suppliers” and developing “debt management plans,” said Paulo Rego.
The Management Committee must finalize the capital increase of up to five million euros, and negotiations for new investors are underway. In addition, it is necessary to manage debt and have investment capacity, particularly in technology. Workers have been experiencing three months of unpaid salaries.
