In a statement published on Truth Social, Trump dismissed reports of a halt in talks as false. “The fake news that the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States stopped talking days ago is false and incorrect,” he wrote. “Conversations between us are ongoing — including four, three, two, one day ago, and today.”
Trump added that Tehran had not informed Washington of any decision to suspend contacts. At the same time, he noted that he would not be troubled if negotiations were paused, suggesting flexibility in the diplomatic approach amid rising regional tensions.

On Monday, Iran’s Tasnim news agency, which is linked to the Revolutionary Guards, reported that Tehran had interrupted peace talks in retaliation for Israeli strikes against its ally Hezbollah in Lebanon.
The conflicting accounts underscore the uncertainty surrounding diplomatic efforts at a time of escalating violence in the region, with Washington attempting to keep channels open despite mounting pressure from developments on the ground.
