Macau’s GDP grew 7% in the first quarter

Macau’s economic output reported a 7.1% year-on-year expansion in the first quarter of 2026, according to official preliminary figures

Government statisticians estimated that gross domestic product (GDP) topped MOP108 billion (11.4 billion). The SAR, heavily reliant on gaming service exports, saw service exports climb nearly 14%, spurred by a 13.7% increase in inbound visitation.

Gaming accounts for the lion’s share of service exports. Gross gaming revenue reached MOP65.8 billion, signalling a 14.3 per cent expansion in the January to March three-month period.
