With this victory, and following Benfica’s triumph in their visit to Sporting (2-1), FC Porto leads the I Liga with 79 points, seven more than the ‘encarnados’ and eight more than the ‘leões’, who have a game in hand, with only four rounds left to play.

Meanwhile, Tondela, which has not won in six games, remains in 17th and second-to-last place in the direct relegation zone with 21 points, five behind Casa Pia, which is 16th, the relegation play-off spot, with both teams having a game in hand.
