Bayern Munich revalidated the title today and became the German football champion for the 35th time in its history, after beating Stuttgart 4-2 in a 30th-round match.

With Borussia Dortmund’s defeat on Saturday against Hoffenheim (2-1), the Bavarians, featuring Portuguese players Raphaël Guerreiro and David Daiber, entered the field with a 12-point lead in the table and knew that a draw was enough to secure the title, but they ended up winning anyway.

Stuttgart took the lead with a goal from Chris Fuhrich in the 21st minute, but the team led by Belgian Vincent Kompany turned the result around with goals from Raphaël Guerreiro (31′), Nicolas Jackson (33′), Alphonso Davies (37′), and Harry Kane (52′), with the visitors pulling one back through Chema Andres (89′).

With this result, Bayern, who are in the semi-finals of the Champions League and the German Cup and have already won the Supercup, lead the championship with 79 points, with Dortmund in second, 15 points behind, with only four rounds and 12 points left to play for.

Bayern Munich has won 13 of the last 14 championships in Germany, being surpassed only by Bayer Leverkusen in the 2023/24 season, and leads the history books by a wide margin, with 35 titles, against nine for Nuremberg and eight for Dortmund.
