Liverpool has signed young Spanish forward Victor Muñoz from Osasuna, marking the first acquisition since fellow Spaniard Andoni Iraola took charge of the Reds, the English Premier League club announced today.

Although the Reds did not officially disclose the transfer fee involved in the deal, international media reports indicate an investment circulating around 40 million euros for the 22-year-old winger.

During the previous season, the versatile attacker made 36 official appearances for the Spanish club, recording a total of seven goals and providing five assists across all competitions.

“Liverpool FC has agreed a deal to sign Victor Muñoz from Osasuna, subject to a successful work permit application and international clearance,” read the official statement released by the Merseyside club.

The forward, who is currently away on international duty representing Spain at the World Cup, underwent his medical examination at his national team’s training base in Tennessee, United States.

Following the successful completion of his medical tests, the young Spanish talent officially signed a long-term contract to lock in his future at Anfield for years to come.

A product of La Masia, the famous youth academy of FC Barcelona, Muñoz subsequently spent time developing in the Real Madrid academy structure before joining the Pamplona-based club back in July 2025.

After a solid development phase in his native country, the highly-rated winger is now set to embark on his very first professional footballing adventure outside of Spain with the Premier League heavyweights.
