Iran War: Israel says it has killed Iranian intelligence minister

Khatib's killing comes after Israel had already killed Iranian security chief Ali Larijani and the head of the Basij paramilitary volunteer force

Israel’s defence minister today announced that Israeli armed forces have killed Iran’s intelligence minister, Esmail Khatib.

Israel Katz said “significant surprises are expected throughout this day on all fronts,” without providing further details.

Khatib’s killing comes after Israel had already killed Iranian security chief Ali Larijani and the head of the Basij paramilitary volunteer force linked to the Revolutionary Guard, Gholamreza Soleimani. At the start of the war on February 28, US and Israeli allied forces also killed former supreme leader ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
