FRITES opens first Macau outlet at Grand Lisboa Palace

Hong Kong restaurant group FRITES Belgium on Tap has opened its first outlet outside the city, launching a Belgian-style brasserie at Macau’s Grand Lisboa Palace Resort.

The restaurant combines a 1920s Art Deco interior with live jazz performances and an extensive Belgian beer selection. The space features high ceilings, stained glass and chandeliers, with two private dining rooms for business or social events.

Live music will be performed five nights a week by an in-house band. The menu focuses on Belgian and European dishes, including moules-frites made with mussels sourced from South Australia, USDA Prime steak frites, duck à l’orange and salads. Desserts include Belgian waffles, crème brûlée cheesecake and Dame Blanche.

FRITES Belgium on Tap Macau offers more than 30 Belgian craft beers, including Trappist, Abbey, and fruit styles. It also introduces the brand’s first cocktail menu, using local ingredients and Chinese-inspired flavours.

The opening marks FRITES’ first expansion beyond Hong Kong since the brand was founded, part of a broader push to position its Belgian beer hall concept as a premium dining option in the region.
