Buddy Lam, Director of Corporate Affairs of GEG, led team members and students from the Galaxy Integrated Resort Internship Program to visit the thematic exhibition “For National Liberation and World Peace: Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.”
As part of the GEG National Education Series, Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) arranged for 50 team members and students from the Galaxy Integrated Resort Internship Program to visit the exhibition “For National Liberation and World Peace: Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War” (the “Exhibition”) on its opening day. The initiative aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of the War of Resistance and to promote the spirit of patriotism and love for Macao.
Organized by the Macao SAR Government with support from the Museum of the War of the Chinese People’s Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the Exhibition is open through September 24 at the Complex of Commerce and Trade Co-operation Platform for China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.
GEG team members toured each section of the thematic exhibition, exploring the 14-year struggle of the Chinese people during the war and the heroic sacrifices of the martyrs.
GEG team members viewed historical footage and embraced the core message of “Remembering History, Honoring Martyrs, Cherishing Peace, and Creating a Great Future.”
Through the exhibition, GEG team members learned about the heroic contributions and touching stories of the martyrs during the War of Resistance.
In the afternoon session, under the guidance of a docent, Buddy Lam, Director of Corporate Affairs of GEG, led team members and students in exploring the 14-year struggle of the Chinese people during the war and the heroic sacrifices of the martyrs. Visitors reflected on the Exhibition’s core values of “Remembering History, Honoring Martyrs, Cherishing Peace, and Creating a Great Future.”
To mark the 80th anniversary, GEG has recently organized and supported multiple events involving nearly 800 participants. Among them was a special screening of the patriotic film “Dead to Rights” at Galaxy Cinemas in Galaxy Macau™ integrated resort, where Ms. Liu Changmei, the film’s distributor in Macao, shared insights into the historical significance of the story with more than 100 young attendees.
Coinciding with the release of the patriotic film “Dead to Rights”, GEG hosted a special screening for youth, with over 100 young participants in attendance.
Through this series of commemorative initiatives, GEG seeks to strengthen national identity education, foster a sense of belonging and pride among local youth, team members, and the wider community, and carry forward the enduring spirit of patriotism and love for Macao for future generations.
