GEG co-organizes “Youth Science and Technology Village Program” and deepen the artificial intelligence training

The Education and Youth Development Bureau, the Macau Science Center, and Galaxy Entertainment Group, jointly organized the "Youth Science and Technology Village" science and technology talent training program. A graduation ceremony and welcome reception were held recently to congratulate the first two batches of student intakes on completing their learning stage and to welcome the third batch of students.

Co-organized by the Education and Youth Development Bureau, the Macao Science Center and GEG, the “Youth Science and Technology Village Program” held a graduation ceremony and welcome reception on July 1 at the Macao Science Center.

Starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, the program will increase the number of students and deepen the artificial intelligence technology training to enhance students’ AI literacy and application, so as to cultivate more scientific and innovative talents with scientist mindset and a sense of patriotism for Macau.

The event as attended by over 375 guests, including Mok Ian Ian, President of the Board of Directors of Macao Science Center Limited; Cheong Man Fai, Head of Department of Youth of Education and Youth Development Bureau of the Macau SAR Government; Sio Hon Pan, Curator of Macao Science Center; U Hon Sang, Board Member and Executive Committee Member of the Board of Directors of Macao Science Center Limited; Linda Wong, Assistant Senior Vice President of Public Relations of GEG; and Leong Si Chong, Director of Education and Exhibits of Macao Science Center, principal, teachers and students of the “Youth Science and Technology Village Program”.

Cheong Man Fai encourages the students to continue innovating and breaking new ground with their valuable learning experiences and enthusiasm, and to contribute to the development of the country and Macao.

Siu Hon Pan expressed his gratitude to the education sector, public institutions, and international science and technology enterprises for their strong support of this program.

He hoped that students would cherish and make good use of the abundant learning and scientific research resources, explore cutting-edge technological developments and corporate talent needs, and plan their careers well.

Linda Wong stated that GEG has been committed to providing young people with diverse learning opportunities and growth platforms for many years. She encouraged the students to seize learning opportunities, boldly pursue their dreams in technology, integrate what they have learned into their future studies and lives, and embrace a more exciting journey in life.

GEG established a special “GEG Rising Potential in Scientific & Technological Innovation” award to recognize the students who participated in the most competitions and activities during the academic year.

The University of Saint Joseph will join the program as a strategic partner in the new academic year, jointly providing students with professional mentor guidance, access to industry-level laboratory platforms, and priority internship opportunities.
