Held at the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform Complex, the visit aimed to deepen understanding of national security and encourage a spirit of patriotism and responsibility among corporate leaders and the younger generation.
Led by Dr. Wilfred Wong, Executive Vice Chairman of Sands China Ltd., alongside CEO and Executive Director Grant Chum and CFO Dave Sun, the group explored the themed exhibition: “Ten Years of Deepening and Implementing National Security Education for All.”

This marked the seventh consecutive year that Sands China has taken team members to visit the exhibition as part of its professionalism education series.
Co-organised by the Macao SAR government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, the exhibition highlights milestones in national security awareness, with six thematic sections and a prologue.
It focuses on the latest national achievements and a decade of education efforts under the “overall national security concept.”
Visitors were guided through displays that showcased Macao’s commitment to President Xi Jinping’s directives during his visit last year and the local government’s progress in upholding “One Country, Two Systems.”
Dr. Wong emphasized that national security is essential for stable development in a rapidly evolving environment. “A comprehensive understanding of national security is a ‘must-have’ for companies and employees,” he said, reiterating Sands China’s long-standing support for initiatives that reinforce civic awareness and corporate responsibility.
This visit is one of many initiatives under Sands China’s broader professionalism education programme.
The company has conducted over 80 activities—ranging from Greater Bay Area field visits and professional training courses to speaker forums and cultural exchanges—reaching more than 10,000 team members.
These efforts align with the company’s strategy to empower staff with a greater understanding of national development and to actively support Macao’s transformation into a world centre of tourism and leisure.
