GEG shares “Two Sessions” spirit: Empowering Macau’s national education and development

Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) hosted its annual Sharing Session of the NPC and CPPCC, deepening team members’ understanding of the "Two Sessions" spirit and driving insights on Macau’s development, education, and tourism growth.

GEG hosted the “Sharing Session of the NPC and CPPCC – GEG National Education Series” and invited NPC and CPPCC delegates to share the spirit of the “Two Sessions” with over 600 GEG executives that attended either in-person or via the live broadcast online.

Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) hosted its annual “Sharing Session of the NPC and CPPCC – GEG National Education Series” on March 31, 2025, at the Galaxy Auditorium of the Galaxy International Convention Center, Macau, SAR.

The event, attended by over 600 executives both on-site and online from Macau, Hong Kong, Hengqin, Eastern China and Yunnan, including its subsidiary, K. Wah Construction Materials, gathered key speakers and government representatives to analyze the Central Government’s 2025 work report and its impact on the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and Macau’s moderate economic diversification.

The session featured distinguished speakers such as Mr. Vong Hin Fai, Deputy to the National People’s Congress (NPC) and Member of the Legislative Assembly of Macau; Ms. Chan Hong, Deputy to the NPC and President of the Chinese Educators Association of Macau; Mr. Iau Teng Pio, Member of the National Committee of the CPPCC and Legislative Assembly member; and Mr. Francis Lui, Chairman of GEG and Member of the National Committee of the CPPCC. Mr. Sun Yaohua, Director of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Macau, also supported the event.

Speakers elaborated on the strategic implications of the government work report, highlighting the critical role of the GBA and the application of the “One Country, Two Systems” framework.

Mr. Vong Hin Fai emphasized Macau’s unique positioning within the GBA, encouraging the city to boost economic innovation and regulatory alignment. Ms. Chan Hong focused on the advancements in Macau’s education sector and the expanding opportunities for cooperation with Hengqin.

While Mr. Iau Teng Pio underscored the importance of patriotism in overcoming challenges and seizing opportunities. Mr. Francis Lui stressed that enhancing cultural, tourism, and sports consumption is essential for Macau’s growth and development as a “World Center of Tourism and Leisure.”

Beyond the session, GEG will compile an event highlights video to extend the “Two Sessions” spirit to its workforce of over 20,000 team members.

Over the years, Galaxy Entertainment Group has led national education initiatives by sponsoring the “GEG Macau Cup – Youth National Education Competition,” organizing educational tours and screenings, and integrating national education into its Youth Achievement Program.
