“With less than a week before the start of the 1st Lusophone Arbitration Congress, it’s a great pleasure to have more than a hundred participants from across the Lusophone world, mainland China, and Hong Kong, and the support of the Regional Center of a United Nations agency (UNCITRAL),” Bruno Nunes, President of the Board of the Lusophone Association of Arbitration and Mediation (ALAM), told PLATAFORMA.
“We are certain that we have done everything to create a memorable event that affirms Macau’s role as a place for arbitration, as determined in the ministerial declarations of the 3rd and 4th meetings of the Macau Forum”
According to data provided by ALAM, almost half of the participants will be Macau residents, with 22.9 percent coming from mainland China and 10 percent from Portugal. In total, about 25 percent of participants will come from Portuguese-speaking countries.
