Wei Qiuyue, an Olympic women’s volleyball champion and former captain of China’s women’s national volleyball team, to share her competition experience with representatives of the local sports sector.
GEG Presents–Dialogue with Olympic Women’s Volleyball Champion Wei Qiuyue on Sports Dreams with Macau Athletes was held on May 20.
Wei Qiuyue, an Olympic women’s volleyball champion and former captain of China’s women’s national volleyball team, met with representatives of the local sports sector, volleyball elites, outstanding athletes who participated in the Galaxy Entertainment Group Presents–We are Macau Athletes program, and members of GEG’s Volleyball Team to share her personal experiences and insights from her sports career, deepening sports exchanges in the local community.
During the event, Wei shared her journey as a professional volleyball player, her championship experiences, and the spirit of the Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team, encouraging Macau athletes through her own story.
Wei Qiuyue visited the latest and largest indoor arena in Macau, Galaxy Arena.
Wei also visited Galaxy Arena to experience Macau’s diverse sports tourism offerings. She expressed impressment with the advanced facilities and equipment at the venue, which she believes will foster a competitive environment and enhance the overall event experience for players.
Wei thanked GEG for the invitation and hoped her sharing would inspire and motivate everyone. She also cheered for the China’s women’s national volleyball team and wished them good luck in the Macau leg of the tournament.

As one of the organizers of the Women’s Volleyball Nations League Macao returning to Macau after a four-year hiatus, GEG is actively leveraging the synergy effect of the event by integrating volleyball and various leisure elements. GEG is joining hands with the organizers to organize a number of extended and peripheral activities on the eve of the tournament, to connect with the community through this large-scale sports event.
In the future, GEG will continue to organize and present more international sports events to promote the development of Macau’s sports and tourism industries and to enrich Macau’s positioning as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.
