The Macao Tourism + MICE Product Updates Seminar & Travel Mart took place at the Suntec City Atrium (Convention Centre) on April 25th. Over 100 attendees, including representatives from MGTO, the National Association of Travel Agents Singapore (NATAS), the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), the Economic Development Bureau of Hengqin, and the six integrated resort enterprises from Macao, gathered for the seminar.

The event provided an overview of Macao’s latest tourism development, the MICE and business environment, and the cultural tourism in Hengqin, fostering networking opportunities and collaboration between the travel trade from both sides.

A spectacular roadshow was unveiled on April 26th and will continue for four days at the Suntec City Atrium (Convention Centre). The venue, situated in the Marina Central District, showcases Macao’s cultural diversity and the unique splendor of “tourism +” through a specially designed space resembling a Rubik’s Cube.

The Economic Development Bureau of Hengqin, the six integrated resort enterprises from Macao, and Air Macau have set up booths to present their newest tourism facilities and products, offering Singapore residents a kaleidoscope of experiences in Macao.

Singapore currently ranks as the eighth largest international visitor market for Macao, with 25,623 visitor arrivals from Singapore recorded in the first quarter of 2024. To further tap into the Singapore market, MGTO has implemented various marketing initiatives, including special offers in partnership with Air Macau and travel agencies in Singapore and Macao. The Office actively invites Singapore delegations to Macao for familiarization visits to new local attractions and hotels.

MGTO encourages industry partners from both sides to develop tourism products tailored to the preferences of Singaporean and Southeast Asian visitors, aiming to expand international visitor markets.
