“The more insane statements that come from Moscow, the greater our strength must be. Only our strength in protecting lives and our ability to achieve our goals can return Russia to a state of at least partial sobriety,” said the Ukrainian leader in a message on Facebook.
Zelensky said that “Russian madness must lose this war,” adding: “We will do everything possible for this.”
The statement by the President of Ukraine comes at a time when Russia is demanding advances by its forces in the east of the country in the face of Ukrainian defenses, which are facing difficulties in terms of weapons and ammunition.
