A bottle of single malt whiskey from The Macallan distillery will be auctioned in November and has an estimated price of up to 1.2 million pounds sterling, the equivalent of R$7.3 million, according to auction house Sotheby’s.
According to experts, Macallan 1926 was known to be the most sought after Scotch whiskey. This was confirmed when a similar bottle was sold in 2019 for a record £1.5 million.
This sale will be the first of a bottle from this cask since then.
