The proposed law therefore proposes that the minimum wage for workers be increased, respectively, to 7,072 patacas per month, for wages calculated monthly; 1,632 patacas per week, for wages calculated per week; 272 patacas per day, for wages calculated per day; 34 patacas per hour, for wages calculated by the hour.
It is recalled that in the exchange of opinions between the Government and the Permanent Council for Social Coordination, the proposed value had been from 32 patacas per hour to 34 to 36 patacas per hour.
The diploma also provides that the law will come into force from January 1, 2024.
