It is still in an “early phase” and far from being able to be used by cancer patients, but there are important steps to be taken towards the development of a vaccine that acts against different types of tumours. Production may be carried out in Portugal, at Stemmatters, a company based in Guimarães, which is dedicated to the production of experimental drugs. The process of obtaining authorization for the development and manufacture of the vaccine is under consideration at Infarmed.
