Macau may lose labour to Hong Kong if it does not review TNR salaries

Macau needs to review salary conditions for non-resident workers so as not to lose labour to more competitive markets such as Hong Kong.

Speaking to Rádio Macau, Leong Sun Iok said that the Macau authorities should re-evaluate the measures for importing non-resident workers, since the current local economic environment has changed a lot since the beginning of the pandemic.

In addition, the labour-connected MP believes, the government should also encourage salary increases for civil servants to fight inflation.
