The 74th edition of the Emmy Awards distinguished the third season of HBO’s “Succession” as best drama series, on a night in which “The White Lotus” and “Ted Lasso” dominated with multiple wins in their categories.
“We are incredibly grateful to have this wonderful honor,” said creator Jesse Armstrong, who also took home the award for best writing for a drama series for his work.
In his victory speech, the British screenwriter mentioned the accession to the throne of King Charles III in the United Kingdom, saying that “this has been a great week for the succession”.
