This Monday, the Swede attacked FIFA and the players’ union, FIFPro, for the improper use of its name and image in one of the most popular computer games internationally.
“Who authorized FIFA and EA Sport to use my name and face? I was not told that I was a member of FIFPro and, if I am, I was registered without really being informed, in an informed way. And one thing is for sure, I never allowed FIFA or FIFPro to make money from me, ”said the AC Milan striker on Twitter.
The FIFA franchise that the 39-year-old denounces, after several years of appearing in it, emerged in the 1990s and is one of the best known video games, standing out for its realism, with the real names and physical appearances of very similar footballers.
