Portuguese KTM driver won the Styrian GP in Austria, overtaking two opponents on the final corner. Secretary of State for Sport says that victory “fills the country with pride”.
Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira (KTM) won this Sunday the Grand Prix of Moto GP in Styria, Austria, thus adding his first triumph (and podium) in the premier category of motorcycling, in what is also his debut season in the competition .
“We made history today for Portugal,” said Oliveira after the victory. “I don’t know what to say, I am very moved. There is so much I would like to say. I want to start by thanking everyone who believed in me, starting with the family, the team, the sponsors, the Portuguese fans, we showed that we are the best ”, started by saying the Portuguese, after winning the fifth race of the season.
