Macau launches campaign to help Beirut families

The Macau International Philanthropy Association has launched a campaign to help a Lebanese nonprofit that is supporting families affected by the explosion in Beirut, its president told Lusa

“Before the explosion, the organization supported 692 families, now it helps 1,100 and the number will increase, given the emergency humanitarian situation”, underlined Lurdes de Sousa.

“We are launching a local and international fundraising campaign to help Achrafieh2020, which is now supporting 1100 families with food, logistics, hospitalization, prescription drugs and social assistance and which pledged to repair five windows and doors damaged by explosion to allow displaced families to return home ”, indicated the association founded in 2019.
