The Azores must assume geopolitics as an active strategic axis in its policy and Portugal must improve its global negotiation and affirmation through the archipelago’s geostrategic position.
We all know that the Azores are a relevant and irreplaceable epicenter in international geopolitics, so we have to move beyond the evidence of circumstance and “hourly opportunities”. This means, that it is important to be able to act in the construction of a Regional Strategic Concept that provides a line of guidance and action.
The Atlantic geocentrality of the region, materialized in the benefits of geography, time and space, underlies greater attention from regional policy and a growing national demand for knowledge.
