The leader of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement said today that the new United States sanctions could come into effect on Wednesday and are aimed at “killing hunger” in Syria, the war and neighboring Lebanon.
As new sanctions, criticized by Hassan Nasrallah, responsible for Hezbollah, an ally of the Syrian government, are listed in the “Caesar law”.”The Caesar law (…) aims to kill hunger in Lebanon, like killing hunger in Syria,” accused Nasrallah, in a television broadcast. Nasrallah regards a law in question as the United States’ “last weapon” against the power of Damascus.
